Scott J. Gorgius Obituary
Scott J. Gorgius, 77, of Huntley, formerly of Chicago, died peacefully, March 8, 2024. Scott was born September 6, 1946 the son of Herbert and Analise Gorgius. On August 9, 1969 he married his college sweetheart Janet M. Wachowicz. He worked as an electrical engineer and went on to own and operated Able Distributors until his retirement. He and Janet were very active at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Chicago. Scott was a huge sports fan, March madness was one of his favorite times of the year. He was a family man who loved every second with his family, especially his grandchildren. Scott and Janet enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Janet, his sons, Bill (Laurie) Gorgius and Brian (Erin) Gorgius and by his grandchildren, Natalie, Nathan, and John. And, by his nieces and nephews, Laura, Sharon, Kathy, Karen, Michael, and Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Paul and niece, Diane. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 2pm-6pm with a service being held at 6pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL .
