He was predeceased by : his parents, Stanley Kilian and Josephine Kilian (Gimza); and his brother Lester Kilian (Celine). He is survived by : his wife Marlene Kilian; his daughters, Debra Rakiel (Robert) and Tracy Fricke (John); and his grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (10307 Dundee-Huntley Rd, Huntley, IL 60142). Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DeFiore Funeral Home (10763 Dundee-Huntley Rd, Huntley, IL 60142).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
