He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyprian Libera and Alexandra Libera (Korowicki); his wife Theresia; and his sister Helen Sczpacher. He is survived by: his children, Stephen Libera and Linda Bargiel (Dave); his granddaughters, Amanda Riedl (Jacob) and Megan Bargiel; and his sister-in-law Barbara Lettenmair. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (10307 Dundee-Huntley Rd, Huntley, IL 60142).
