He was predeceased by: his parents, James John and Margaret Mary O'Brien (Donahue); and his former wife Maria-Luiza Folwarski. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Thomas W. O'Brien, Jr. (Linda) of Marquette, MI and Margaret Mary of Chicago; his siblings, Rev. James J. O'Brien and Margaret M. King; and his nieces, Colleen and Katie King.
