Betty Palmer Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty Palmer of Hurst, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Betty left this world on October 11, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dennis and Edith Howell (Beavers); her husband Emmett D. "Jack" Palmer; her sons, Mitchell and Marcus Palmer; and her siblings, Homer, Jim, Carl, Howard, Herschel, Fred Howell, Wilma Tindall, Shella Christian, Nellie Layman, Ella Craddock, Dorothy Hodges and Martha Keller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Orr, Shirley Wild (Lloyd) and Angela Tabels (Ken); and her grandchildren, Theresa Miller, Jason Wild (Alison), Christy Wild, Katherine Smith, Erik Shemonia, Christopher Shemonia, Zachary Palmer, Henry Palmer and Sam Garcia. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 1:00 PM at the Blairsville Cemetery.
