She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Shartzer and Dorothy Shartzer; her husband Don Casteel (Jared); her daughter Jan; her brothers, Bud and Darrel; and her daughter-in-law Terri Casteel.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Casteel (Robin), Jeff Casteel, Jeanna Casteel and Don Casteel; her siblings, Sue Ballinger, Marg Norris and Rick Shartzer; her grandchildren, Keri Kemp (James), Chris Rucker, Joe Hunsley (Nicole), Amy Hunsley, Chase Casteel, Kaiden Damery, Korey Damery, Kynzie Damery and Wyatt Lovelace; her great grandchildren, Ruth Gibbon, Abie Hunsley, Nathon Hunsley, Silas Manners, Mavis Rucker, Jack Rucker, Taylena Kemp and Ember Kemp; and her great great grandchild Freya.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fullenwider Park Funeral Home (432 7th St, Illiopolis, IL 62539). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Illiopolis/ Niantic Public Library.
