Shirley Pickel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Pickel of Illiopolis, Illinois, who passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Leonard and Doris Leonard (Gass); her husband Robert S. Pickel; her siblings, Richard, Marilyn, Molly and Harry Leonard; her daughter-in-law Emily Pickel; and her great great grandchild Madison Stephens.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Pickel, Victor Pickel, Pam Pickel, Don Pickel, Doris Stacey (Mike) and David Pickel (Diane); her siblings, Fred, Steve Leonard, Leanne Ross and Maryann Harlow; and her aunt Betty Bragg. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Illiopolis Riverside Cemetery (1500 Dye Rd, Illiopolis, IL 62539).
Memorial donations may be made to the Vonderlieth Living Center Activities Group.
