She was predeceased by: her father Columbus W. Carter; her stepfather Gary Lowery; her grandparents, Nina Minor, Beulah Lowery and Carl Lowery; and her nephew Allen Piercy.
She is survived by: her mother Sharon Lowery (Green); her husband Carl W. Hendrix; her children, Nina Hendrix (Jacob P. Scaturro) of Olney, Illinois and Carl James Hendrix of Granite City, Illinois; her grandchildren, Chloe Leslie Hendrix, Allen Landon Hendrix, Jackson Michael Allen Scaturro, Alexander Isaiah Hendrix, Nora Marie Hendrix and Connor James Hendrix; and her siblings, Kathy Kluck (John) of Mount Vernon, Mark Lowery of Johnston City, David Lowery of Opdyke, Brad Lowery (Sandy) of Woodlawn, Carla Askew (Robbie) of Waltonville, Sheila Bonsack of Mount Vernon and Gary Ray Lowery (Rita) of Opdyke. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
