He is survived by: his wife Juliet Friedrich; his children, Vicki Janssen, Robin Leslie (Robert), Jim Stangland, John Stangland (Cherie) and Laura Stangland; his grandchildren, Christian Janssen, Taylor Dams (Jared), Jillian Griffin, Travis Hoffman (Alanna), Kylie Leslie and Nathan Spalla; his great grandchildren, Briggs, Bruin Dams, Madlyn, Belle, Sydney, Anthony Hoffman and Lola Spalla; his sister-in-law Bonnie Stangland; and his sibling's children, Lisa, Holly and Sean.
