He was predeceased by : his father Bill Britton Sr.; his mother-in-law Ruth Shadowens; and his grandparents, Guy, Wanda Britton, Gus and Mildred Reuter.

He is survived by : his mother Alice Jane Britton (Reuter) of Iola; his wife Willie Britton of Iola; his children, Josh Britton (Ashley) of Metropolis, Ashley Britton of Xenia and Dana Adams (Gary) of Iola; his grandchildren, Isabella, Marshall, Levi, Jayde, Reese and Maya; his siblings, William Dale Britton Jr. (Brenda) of Louisville, Mona Barber (Everett "Rick") of Flora and Kathy Wildbur (Mike) of Iola; his siblings-in-law, Nellie Leaf (Jerry), Charlotte Williams and Larry Shadowens (Rishawna); and his close friend Shane Carder. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations are suggested to an education fund for the benefit of Bud's grandchildren, and will be accepted the day of the services or through the funeral home.
