She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Bartman and Opal Bartman (Miller); and her daughter Kalyn Janz. She is survived by: her children, Joe E. Elks, Jr. (Ken Reid) of Sydney and Rene Elks-Cedillo (Julio Cedillo) of Ipava, Illinois; her grandchildren, Rodrick Janz (Cara), Marissa Janz, Caleb Goding (Therese) and Noel Goding; her great grandchild Rio Janz-Acevedo; her son-in-law Andrew Janz; and her sister Charlotte Brewer (Don) of Kansas. She is also survived by children and grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in Gay Lee's name to the Alzheimer's Association or Friends of the Children of Haiti.
