He was predeceased by: his parents, Blake Mason and Sylvia Mason (Melvin); his grandsons, Kirch Schoonover and Brandon Stephens; and his brothers, Lyle and Charlie Mason.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jeanie Davis (Scott Clemens) of Astoria and Jennifer Blickenstaff of Astoria; his grandchildren, Austin Davis (Deena Parr), Brittany Poppenhager (Kole Wilmot), Hunter Poppenhager, Braden Davis, Brenna Davis (Elijah Allen) and Mason Blickenstaff; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Poppenhager, Emersyn Davis, Huttsyn Davis and Harper Allen; and his siblings, Pat Benns of Pinckneyville and Lynn Mason of Havana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shawgo Memorial Home (207 E Broadway, Astoria, IL 61501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Shawgo Memorial (207 E Broadway, Astoria, IL 61501).
Memorials in Larry's memory may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
