He is survived by: his children, Lynn Stoops of Acworth, GA, Debra Chasteen (Robert) of Lewistown, IL, Bruce Stoops (Angie) of Quincy, IL, Connie Roberts (John) of Pawnee, IL and Brian Stoops (Kim) of Carlinville, IL; and his grandchildren, Ryan Stoops, John Chasteen, Robert Chasteen, Kelsie Roberts, Justina Chasteen, Evan Roberts, Isabelle Stoops and Gabrielle Stoops.
Memorials may be made to the National Farm Toy Museum in Dyersville, Iowa, and the Ipava Fire and Rescue Squad.
