The memory of Laura Jayne Cerven of Irving, Illinois, who passed away on July 21, 2025 at the age of 43, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her father Robert L. Cerven; her grandparents, Paul, Emma Cerven (Desatnick), Willis and Eileen Walch (Leitschuh); her aunts, Barbara Norris (Cerven) and Rebecca Cerven (McGhee); and her uncle Don "Pete" Tolly.
She is survived by: her mother Carolyn A. Cerven (Walch) of Irving, Illinois; her siblings, Stephen Cerven (Jennifer) of Colchester, Illinois and Leann Kridner (Wesley) of New Boston, Michigan; her siblings' children, Isabel, Lillian Kridner, Collin, Austin Cerven and Henry Kridner; and her aunts and uncles, Marie Tolly of Louisville, Paul Cerven (Grace) of Wisconsin, Martin Cerven of Pana, Veronica Patten (Floyd) of Minnesota, James Cerven of Carbondale, Andrew Cerven (Kathy) of Charleston, Patrick Norris of Pana, Jane McVey of Florida, Thomas Walch (Marla) of Missouri and James Walch (Jill) of Chatham, Illinois.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Agnes Catholic Church (216 E Tremont St, Hillsboro, IL 62049). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and other gifts, the family has asked that donations in Laura's memory be made to: American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD., 21741 or to a horse charity such as STARR Farm (http://www.starrfarm.org) and Saddlebred Rescue (http://www.saddlebredrescue.networkforgood.com).
