It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wilma Spikes of Irving, Illinois, who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Wilma may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wilma touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Best and Helen Best (Schwartzle); her husband Billy Spikes; her siblings, Edwin Best, Jr., Charles Best and Dorothy Eddington (Eugene); and her niece Carla Best.
She is survived by: her brother Eldon Best (Joyce) of Taylorville; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Best of Pana and Lois Best of Rushville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sutton Funeral Home (200 S Maple St, Nokomis, IL 62075). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
