Robert Schlaf Obituary
The memory of Robert Schlaf (Itasca, Illinois), who passed away on November 3, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Schlaf and Helen Schlaf; his stepfather Howard Shield; and his siblings, Jack Kern and Nina Nason.
He is survived by: his wife Sue (Schultz); and his sons, David (Beth), Eric (Linda) and Dan. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Of St. Luke Cemetery (1301 Nordic Rd, Itasca, IL 60143).
