It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Derricks of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Derricks; her brother Richard "Dick" Hoots; her half-brothers, Carl Gregory, Harold Gregory, Ray Hoots and Rolly Hoots; and her parents, Leonard "Ben" Hoots and Emma Gregory Hoots.

She is survived by: her daughters, Darcie Derricks and De De Fricke (Keith); her sister Hazel Moss; and her grandson Mason Fricke.

Memorials are suggested to Prairieland Heritage Museum.
