It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Arthur Forney of Jacksonville, Illinois, born in Spring Valley, Illinois, who passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Forney Kapraun and Billy R. Forney; his sisters, Betty Layne and Irene; and his parents-in-law, Winifred and Frank Dornik.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Michael Forney (Angelique) of Champaign and Deborah Lloyd (Michael) of Lorton, Virginia; his grandsons, Colin Forney (S. Air Force), Michael Lloyd of Lorton and Alexander Forney of Champaign; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Hubbell (Frank) of Myrtle Beach and John Dornik (Pam) of Oglesby, Illinois. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
