Worth, TX and Lisa Slate (Thomas) of Jacksonville, IL; his grandchildren, Meagan Moore (Jonathan) of Statesboro, GA, Alexandra Saunders (Ian) of Athens, GA, Christopher Veness of Frisco, TX and Melissa Slate of Jacksonville, IL; his great grandchildren, Madelyn Moore, McCall Moore, Isa Saunders, Gray Saunders, Alexander Veness and Quinn Veness; his granddaughter Paige Slate; his siblings, William J. Veness and Dorothy Dobson; and his friends, England, Scotland, Portugal, Guatemala and Costa Rica. He was also cherished by nephews and nieces.
