It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian K. Baptist of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Frank "Buzz" Baptist of Jacksonville; his niece Jenna Protz of Vandalia; and his pet Heaven. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Baptist of Jacksonville; his wife Jennifer Baptist of Jacksonville; his children, Makenna Baptist of Jacksonville and Daxton Baptist of Jacksonville; his sister Brenda Protz Silveira (Heidi) of Springfield; his parents-in-law, Daniel and Debra Stevens of Chandlerville; his siblings-in-law, Ashley Lex (Justin) of Chatham and Beau Stevens of Chandlerville; his nieces, Brandy Protz Rivers (Weston) of Greenfield, Indiana, Ryleigh and Logan Lex of Chatham; his sisters, Tammy Mason Rust (Tom) of Bourbonnais and Lisa Mason Magelitz (Dan) of Oshkosh; his nephew Shane Magelitz; his niece Megan Magelitz of Oshkosh, Wisconsin.; and his children, Yorkie and Brylee. He is also survived by aunts, cousins, and his brother and sisters in law.
Memorials may be made to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 125 or to the Baptist Education Fund to benefit the continuing education of his children.
