With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell Vernon Headen of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne Headen and Bertha Headen (Todd); and his siblings, Bill Headen, Colleen Ash, Melvina Butcher and Shirley Loeffler.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hays; his son Robert Headen (Jill); his grandsons, Jayson of Jacksonville and AJ Headen of Jacksonville; and his brother Randy Headen (Diane) of Lynnville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Williamson Funeral Home (1405 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
