He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Willner and Ola Willner (Smith); his spouse Michele L. Waters; and his siblings, Morris, Stan, Everett, Carolyn of Jacksonville, Vivian Jones, Norma Hicks and Carl.

He is survived by: his children, Darrell William Jr. Willner (Suzanne) of Johnson City, Kim Willner of Jacksonville, Barry Willner (Autumne) of Franklin and Jackie Forrest (Jamie Harris) of Murrayville; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Hjort (John), Andrew William Willner (Michael), Mason Willner, Kayla Marquard, Hope Willner, Barry Willner Jr., Joshua Willner, Bailee Wali-Uddin (Salim), Kourtnee Stephenson (Chad) and Drake Stephenson (Celena); and his sister Rowena Kassler of Mineral Wells, Texas.. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
