He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan N. Dawdy and Helen R. Dawdy (Burton). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Dawdy of Jacksonville; his children, Jeffrey Dawdy (Guyla) of Jacksonville, IL and Belinda Hoke (Jason) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Amy Robertson (Jason) of Wentzville, MO., Alisha Wisdom of Wentzville, Caleb Hoke of Sioux Center and Sarah Hoke of Hannibal; his brother Jim Dawdy (Carolyn) of Boone; Faith Musch of Wentzville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Hannibal-LaGrange University or Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
