She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Dews and Rose Dews (Meyer) of Chicago; her sister Maurita Nadene; and her husband William L. Lumpkins. She is survived by: her children, Reginald R. (Jane Lukeman) of Jacksonville, Everett Carroll (Carolyn Hansmeier) of Benton, Jimmy Wayne (Jean Elliott), Michael Ernest (Janet Perkins) of Bellingham, WA. and Deborah Jones (Bob) of Temple, TX; and her grandsons, Keith Leslie and Mark. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Recalling Doloris's generosity to anyone who asked her for food or help, the family suggests memorial donations to be directed to New Directions in Jacksonville, a nonprofit homeless shelter and support center that provides emergency assistance to people with no place to stay.
