He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Rodems and Lucille Jenkins Rodems; his wife Eva M. Herrin; and his sister Merle Trieff (late Sol). He is survived by: his children, Julia Caldwell (Tom) of Jacksonville, Donna Carmody (Mike) of Jacksonville, Christina Rolson (Rick) of Jacksonville, Jeffery Rodems (Lori) of Jacksonville and Robert Rodems of Springfield; and his grandchildren, Dustin Caldwell (Kyle Hunt) of Des Moines, Dessa Kopp (Ryan) of Kirkwood, Gabriel Caldwell (Shannon) of Chicago, Megan Winters (Chad) of Jacksonville, Chad Cantrell of Jacksonville, Luke Cantrell (Leah) of Jacksonville, Grant Carmody of Jacksonville, Molly Carmody of University Place, Brandi Rammelkamp (Jay) of Chatham, Brittni Mason (Ryan) of Jacksonville, Clayton Rodems of Jacksonville and Colton Rodems (Jenna) of Jacksonville. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
