He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Lee and Mary Marie Stone Griffitts; his wife Mary Diane Volk; his children, Michael Griffitts (Tia Wessel) of Jacksonville, Rebecca Griffitts of Springfield, Brian Griffitts (Christine) of Fishers, Amy Davis (Adam) of Jacksonville and Julie Griffitts (Anthony Maquet) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Kody Kuhlman of Springfield, Jacob Kuhlman of Springfield, Brady Griffitts of Fishers, Ava Griffitts of Fishers, Adey Griffitts of Jacksonville, Beau Griffitts of Jacksonville, Griffin Davis of Jacksonville and Meg Davis of Jacksonville; his great grandchild Brixton Kuhlman (Linda Terwische) of Springfield; his granddaughter Bailey Jean Maquet; and his sister Joyce File.
