He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Wesley and Anna Henrietta Barrett (Frank); his daughter Carolyn; and his siblings, John Edward Barrett, Michael Ray Barrett, Donald Judson Barrett, Mary Ann Ratliff, Jackie Lee "Jack" Barrett Sr. and Charlotte Knowles.

He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Ann Matthews of Jacksonville, Kyle L. Barrett (Carson) of Indianapolis, IN, Kathleen Athena Meister of Ogden, UT, Kevin L. Barrett of Jacksonville, Kerry L. Barrett (Stacy) of Clarksville, IN, Carla Suesette Czuba (Scott) of Ogden, UT and Nancy Christine Holland (Shannon) of Jacksonville; and his brothers, Bill Barrett (Valerie) of San Francisco, CA and Jim Barrett of Oceanside, CA. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
