He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard DeFrates and Eileen Littig DeFrates; and his siblings, Gail DeFrates and Karen Manker (Phillip). He is survived by: his children, Cara Irwin (Ryan) of Springfield and Adam DeFrates (Brandi) of Jacksonville; and his grandchildren, Mariah, Jacob, Makenna Irwin, Troy and Madalyn DeFrates. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
