He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wayne and Nora Evelyn Bettis (Draughan); and his wife Maureen Bettis. He is survived by: his girlfriend Connie Fairless of Jacksonville; and his siblings, Tammy Barton (Gerry) of Jacksonville and Dean Bettis (Stephanie) of Durango, Colorado. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to the Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society.
