He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard L. Reed and Hazel P. Reed (Martin); and his daughter Mindy DeGroot. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Ford; his son Scott Reed (Lisa) of Jacksonville; his stepchildren, Teri McMinn (Chris) of Jacksonville, Rick Crawford (Stacy Daniels) of Roodhouse, Tim Crawford (Kitty) of Godfrey and Kim Schutz (J. R.) of Patterson; and his sisters, Phyllis Lacy (Ron) and Doris Arnold (late Larry). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Williamson Funeral Home (1405 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
