Howard L. DeGroot Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard L. DeGroot of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on December 16, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George DeGroot and Florence Tannahill DeGroot; his son Mick DeGroot; and his siblings, Betty Riley and Russell DeGroot.
He is survived by: his children, Tom (Cindy) of Troy, Rose Drake (late Bruce) of Jacksonville, Kevin (Christi) of New Berlin, Tim (Teresa) of Jacksonville, Barb Lindsey (Greg) of Jacksonville, Mari Moore (Lennie) of Murrayville and Dan (Missy) of Edwardsville. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to tuition assistance programs at Routt Catholic High School or Our Saviour School.
