With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack L. McNeece of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on February 9, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Jack shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jack farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee A. McNeece and Leta Doris McNeece (Jackson); and his brothers-in-law, Charles Lambert and James Vaniter. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Downs; his stepson Nathan Pitman of Jacksonville; his son Travis McNeece of Jacksonville; his stepgrandchild Erin Alloway (Mike) of South Jacksonville; and his sisters, Charlyn L. Lambert of Texas and Penny Vaniter of Jacksonville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
