Joseph A. Lawson Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on September 1, 2025, at the age of 80, Joseph A. Lawson of Jacksonville, Illinois, born in San Jose, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Brookie Holder and Arthur "Tex" Lawson; his stepfather Charles "Poppy" Holder; his sister Linda Crayton; his grandson Joseph Lawson; and his great grandchild Dietrich Fritsch.
He is survived by: his wife Opal "Sis" Lawson; his sons, Michael (Becky) and Tony (Chasity); his grandchildren, Nicohl, Allyson, Courtney, Victoria, Brianna, Brandon and Billy; and his siblings, Faye Fry, Jimmie English and Garetta Kullman. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to S.T.A.R.S for Suicide Prevention, in memory of his grandson, Joseph Michael Lawson.
