He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Russell and Velma Louise Evans (Meadors); and his wife Betty M. Orr. He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Kay Mulvany (Bolin) of Overland Park, KS; his children, Jim Evans (Katy) of Olathe, KS, Shari Lynn Loeffler (Paul) of Blackfoot, ID and Karla Timm (Wayne) of Bloomington, IL; his sister Gaye Evans; and his stepchildren, Terry Earnest, Teresa O'Quinn and Toni Tanner. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
