With profound sadness, we say goodbye to LaVerne L. Roy of Jacksonville, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. LaVerne left this world on May 25, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to LaVerne's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration LaVerne has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonathan Raymond and Lorraine Raymond; her husband Dr. Robert Merton Roy Jr.; and her sister Gail Brito. She is survived by: her sons, Brian Roy of South Jacksonville and Jonathan Roy (Jody) of Ripon, WI; and her sister Janet Raymond (Steve).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home (1100 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Jacksonville Women's Crisis Center.
