It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Rowland Mentzer of Jacksonville, Illinois, born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Arthur and Dorothy Mentzer (Hollaway); his wife Mary Ann Mentzer; his son Justin Mentzer; and his granddaughter Aubrey.

He is survived by: his son Josh Mentzer (Jesse Fay) of Decatur, Illinois; his sisters, Lynne Robinson (Les) of Gap and Barbara Tull (Jim) of Effingham, Illinois; his grandchildren, Bentley of Forsyth and Ashlynn of Decatur, Illinois; his nieces, Lori Nelson (Paul) of Effingham and Julie Roedl (Chris) of Watson, Illinois; and his great-niece Ashley Roedl of Watson, Illinois..
