We announce the death of Lucile Young of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 95. Lucile will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hubble and Doris Hubble (Shandrow); her husband Don Raymond Young; and her brother Tom Hubble. She is survived by: her children, Carol Hicks (Bob) of Jacksonville, Phil Young (late Barbara Danley) of Brunswick, GA and Ken Young (Robyn) of Sycamore; her grandsons, Brent (Sarah) of Jacksonville, Matt Hicks (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, Dakota and Tanner Young of Sycamore; her great grandchildren, Anna Creamer (Jarrett) of Salem, Allyson of Jacksonville, Hayden of Jacksonville and Liam Hicks of Jacksonville; her great great grandchild Jackson Creamer of Salem, Oregon; and her nephew Gene Hubble.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home (1100 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials donations are suggested to Alsey Baptist Church, or Glasgow Cemetery.
