We are sad to announce that, on April 8, 2023, at the age of 90, Lucy Gardner of Jacksonville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Gardner and Beulah Gardner (Wallace); her close friend C. Flowers; and her siblings, Rebecca Mitchell, Barbara Myrick, Mattie Jackson, Dora Garrett, Ida Mae McPike, Percy Johnson, Edward Gardner and George Gardner.
She is survived by: her children, Javonn Gardner (Brittny) of Winchester and Ceola Gardner of Jacksonville; her goddaughter Becky Merritt (Michael) of Jacksonville; and her sister Kathryn Lindsey of Jacksonville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
