He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland H. H. and Virginia Rice Werries; and his brother Larry Werries. He is survived by: his former wife Doris Elaine Moody; his daughters, Lisa Loraine Hillan (John) of England and Jennifer LeAnn Thomson (Scott) of Florida; his spouse Beverly Jo Baker Aufdenkamp; his stepchildren, Charles Kent Aufdenkamp (Judy) of Chapin, John Thomas Aufdenkamp (Shawn) of Chapin and Joy Marie Wheeler (Dennis) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Emily, David, Marissa, Zachary, Joshua, Kurtis, Lucas, Amanda, Heather, Jenna and Allison; and his siblings, John Werries (Ruth) of Chapin and Ruth Geiger (late Greg) of Knoxville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Williamson Funeral Home (1405 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Concord Cemetery (1190 Brockhouse Rd, Concord, IL 62631).
Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, Memorial Home Services Hospice, or the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.
