He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mary Higgins; his daughters, Melissa Stremming (Thad) of Jacksonville, Kristin Deen (James) of Jacksonville and Chelsea Phillips of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Grant Flynn of Springfield, Ella of Jacksonville, Elizabeth Stremming of Jacksonville, Lauren Deen of Jacksonville, Chaeli Thomas of Jacksonville and Carter McNeely of Jacksonville; his former wife Janet Brown of Jacksonville; and his foster siblings, Barb Scott (Harry) of Jacksonville, Renee Bergschneider (Bob) of Rochester, Fred Ridder, George Ridder, Katherine Eilering and Marie Long.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
