He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman W. Alexander and Lillian Huntley Alexander; and his siblings, Ben Alexander, Della McDaniel, Doris Sims, Velma Leib and Virginia Spradlin.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Lathom; his daughters, Monica Carriger (Shane) of Bluffs, Michelle Hubbert (Michael) of Jacksonville and Maria Dawdy of South Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Stephen Hubbert (Rachael Kennedy), Patrick, Laura Hubbert, Ashleigh Carriger, Meghan Miller (Kaleb) and Sarah Womack (Cody); his great grandchildren, Brailynn, Weslee, Oaklee, Walker, Porter, Weston Hubbert and Ethan Price; and his brother Clifford Alexander of Jacksonville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
