He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Buford Ernest and Evelyn Louise Irlam Dawdy; his wife Delores Jane Baptist; his daughter Sherry Allen (Les) of Murrayville; his great grandchildren, Emma, Elizabeth, Josie of Jacksonville and Grady of Bluffs; his siblings, Robert Dawdy of Jacksonville, Janet Sims of Springfield and Janis Wyatt (Harley Dean) of Roodhouse; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Baptist (late Tom) of Jacksonville and Gail Baptist (late Gerry) of Jacksonville; his niece Cindy Barber (David) of Jacksonville; and his son Michael Ernest Dawdy. He was also cherished by other nieces and nephews.
