She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Cooley and Ethel Cooley (Bradbury); her stepmother Irene Cooley; and her brother-in-law Mark Newman. She is survived by: her husband Alvin Jay Bruns, Jr.; her children, Joshua Bruns of Jacksonville, Jennifer Williams (Nathan) of Jacksonville and Justin Bruns (Maggie Morrell) of Beardstown; her grandchildren, Jaeleigh, Garrett, Wyatt, Adisyn, Evan, Olivia, Rylee, Mateo and Avalynn; her siblings, Larry Cooley (Debbie) of St. Ann, MO, Connie Kurfman (Wendell) of Belleville and Linda Newman of Quincy; and her siblings-in-law, Jim Bruns (Barb) of Winchester, Mary Holderby (Kevin) of Carterville and Ed Bruns of White Hall. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
