With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sue Ann Hackett of Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on September 21, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Sue Ann has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hackett and Helen Hackett; and her brother John W. "Jack" Hackett. She is survived by: her children, Anne Buckborough of Alexandria, Virginia and Thomas Buckborough of Acton, Massachusetts; and her grandchildren, Ethan Buckborough and Sara Simensky.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to be made in Sue Ann's honor to the National Park Foundation.
