He was predeceased by: his father Walter P.; his wife Kathryn Ann Bird; his sister MaryAnne Dworzynski; his daughter-in-law Kim Vesper; and his granddaughter Madison Cooney.
He is survived by: his children, Walter Craig Vesper (Sherry) of Joliet, Michele Lynch (Ron) of Jacksonville, Brad Vesper of Jacksonville and Denise Vesper (Stefan Barnes) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Nikki Lutz (Justin Willmore), Brett Konrad, Walter Alec Vesper (Samantha), Meredith Schmidt (Cody) and Jonathan Vesper (Cecilia); his great grandchildren, Gavin Lutz, Jaxson, Jenson Konrad, Paizley and Presley Willmore; and his sisters-in-law, Dodie Teel (Randy) and Marylou Schmidt (Mike). He is also survived by Nieces and nephews, and cousins.
