William D. Merris Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William D. Merris of Jacksonville, Illinois, born in Bluffs, Illinois, who passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Doyle and Helen Frohwitter Merris; his wife Marilyn Ann Hurley; and his sister Dorothy Merris Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Donna Merris (Robyn Huffman) of Sandwich, Robert Merris of Apple Valley and Harold C. Merris (Judy) of Mt. Carmel; and his close friends, Amy Wilson and R. J. Stewart of Zionsville, Indiana.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Illinois College Athletics.
