She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Spears and Octavy Spears (Kramer); her husband Bob; her son Gregory Hastie; her brothers, Oliver, Kenneth, Joseph, Eddie, Virgil and Charlie; Lucille Lawson, Betty Cherry and Delores Settles.
She is survived by: her brothers, Harvey "Sonny" Spears and Larry Spears of Jerseyville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The Fisher House in Saint Louis, in care of Crawford Funeral Home, in recognition and appreciation for the hospitality and housing provided to Barb during Bob's many hospitalizations at the Jefferson Barracks V.A. Hospital.
