He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Van and Vallie Marie Johns (Revelle); his wife Velma Brown; his sons, Robert Leon Johns and Anthony "Tony" Johns of Apr; his son-in-law Jeffrey DeClue; and his siblings, Wilburn, Willard, Vernon, Virgil, Calvin, Leon Ervin Johns, Lucy Overbey and Vivian Hodge.
He is survived by: his children, Vallie DeClue of Jerseyville and Jeff Johns of Jerseyville; and his daughter-in-law Marlene Johns of Jerseyville. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Noble Cemetery or Otterville Baptist Church.
