He was predeceased by: his mother Olive Frye; his wife Doris Pickett; his son Dennis Malone; and his siblings, David Fair and Ida Mae Armstrong.
He is survived by: his stepson Bill Yates (Debbie) of Grafton; his friends, Chris and Chrisy McElyea of Jerseyville; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Burch of Kane and Anne Marshall (Howard) of Grafton. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Moeller Cancer Center.
