With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Floyd Taylor (Jerseyville, Illinois), who passed away on July 4, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor (McIntyre); and his daughter Robin Brackett. He is survived by: his children, Ty Johnson (Vickie) of Jerseyville, Nita Taylor of Alton, Joey Brackett of Bunker Hill and Sharron Scoggins (Greg) of Shipman; his grandchildren, Tyler, Carson Johnson of Jerseyville, Cassandra Cope (Jeremy) of Jerseyville, Alicia Miller (Scotty) of Jerseyville and Jimmy Taylor of Alton; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Charley and Keenan; and his nephew Patrick Johnson (Judy). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
